Lavender Fields of Love

Our Playgroup made Lavender Love Hearts.

Playgroup prepared some purple cardboard hearts about the size of a paper plate, they were cut out with a hole punch in the top center.

They purchased some bags of dried Lavender (which of course if you have a lavender bush can do yourself)

Then the kids got to put glue all over one side of the heart, (which every kids loves glue), then with lavender spread on the bench they turned their hearts over and pressed them into the lavender.

After this each child was given a piece of gold ribbon to thread through the hole punch, with help it was tied into a bow and it was finished. A Lavender Love Heart, perfect for hanging in mum's wardrobe to keep her clothes smelling lovely or as a simple room decoration!

Thanks Mandy for this simple little idea.

How sweet and very easy for little people to make.

Lavender always remind me of my darling Nannie, such a warm memory!

Love Lavender
by: Marylyn

My Grandmother used to make little lavender brooms and give them away to the elderly.
I always remember the smell of her little room whenever I went to visit her towards the end of her amazing life.
The smell of lavender to me is a smell of love, so to have children make something with lavender is a great idea.
Mandy, this looks simple.
Thank you for sharing.
